About My Work
My works are about love. They are explorations of self. They explore relationships. I hope they entertain. Maybe lighten and enlighten sometimes in some ways. They are unique for sure. Again, essentially whatever they are about, they are about love...
Reviewers have this to say—
"C. St. Sinclair has a great gift for prose which features powerful descriptions of exploding sexual emotions....readers will enjoy both the sensual intensity of the story, the humor, the exciting characters, and the storyline. What captivated me most was the strong writing; it is as seductive as the subject matter it speaks about." Arya Fomonyuy
"C. St. Sinclair writes beautifully and in a focused manner, and there is a sensual beauty in her prose that is hard to ignore....The narrative voice is strong and exciting, betraying a playfulness that will appeal greatly to natural flirts. The themes of love, passion, romance and adventure are beautifully explored....the writing is filled with psychological insights that will entertain readers and keep them reading." Divine Zape
"C. St. Sinclair's erotic contemporary fiction novel, The Adjustments: An Erotic Tale of Three; A Troubled Tale of Four, is a taut and breathtakingly beautiful story about an author of erotic novels who finds herself falling deeply in love with two men. The description of the trio's first night is masterfully and powerfully written as Ara finds herself overwhelmed by the sensuality of the music, the tenderness and wonder at her two new friends, and the sensations she feels at their impromptu lovemaking. As one might expect, there are the inevitable frictions that take place as the two men begin to compete, and their arrangement seems doomed to fail due to jealousy, insecurity and the unresolved issues concerning Hund's deceased wife. St. Sinclair's novel is in part a psychological thriller, which I found irresistible as the three lovers work through the issues of their changing lives; the darkness of envy and jealousy; and the at-times tenuous survival of their new family. The author's erotic passages are transcendentally gorgeous and filled with a spirit of bliss and innocence, and her story was a joy to read. The reader can't help but get involved with her characters, who are each complex and infinitely human in their passions, frailties and commitment to each other. The Adjustments: An Erotic Tale of Three; A Troubled Tale of Four is most highly recommended." Jack Magnus, Independent Writing/Editing Professional
"The characters intrigued me from the first page and I was fascinated by the plot's wonderful mix of literary and spiritual elements. I found the concepts original and the story very appealing on the whole." Amelia Sheldon, Editor
My Books
My books are atypical love stories about relationships and how they can lead to self-discovery and reinvention. They are literary and combine the highly romantic, the emotionally serious and the playfully ridiculous all in one delectable lump. On the romantic side, my books are flirt-filled and affection-based as well as highly sensual and erotic, and they are deep explorations of love, personalities and situations. My works are characterized by having both a cerebral and a playful bent. They are entertainments for people who not only thrive on love and passion, but who also love psychological drama as much as witty banter and word-play. Further, they are written to appeal to those who are intellectually curious, appreciate the philosophic and have a fascination for—and a great sense of humor about—the complexities of relationships and being human, with all that gets tossed at us as we try to figure out how to best navigate our lives. In my books, ideas, circumstances and engaging personalities—along with big, grand infusions of intense love and sex—meet up together, with bathos, comedy and pathos thrown into the mix. (And so far, all end happily ever after—of course!)
I pretty much throw things at my characters—sometimes it's like pitching a grenede into a pool of alligators—letting my characters determine where the story arc will go, its resulting at times in a descent into the ridiculous (that shocks even me!), while ascending at other times into the beauties and mysteries of love and meaning and connection with self and others at its most meaningful, satisfying and most profound—or sometimes at its most disconnected and unfathomable. That said, I always learn a lot from my characters and their movements across the page. (And yes, I know I used "meaning" twice now in this paragraph—but that is the best word for both intents here.)
Mini-Medievalist that I am and word lover, I like neologisms and breaking rules every now and again when it suits the work. I love interesting ambiguities. And occasionally flights of the very fanciful find their way into my works, metaphor-mingling all the way, satisfying my own poetic and lyrical bent. I also playfully cross-pollinate and recycle stuff between books now and again and sometimes even within a single work, or I sometimes create other little existential puzzles from the world in my own head. I write books that are books that I would love to read. I hope you will too.
There is much in these reviews of a few of my books that applies to all of my works generally and I could hardly have said some of this better, though there are more and richer dimensions in each of my works than presented here—

…a sizzling romance with many twists and surprises…. Meet two strangers as they explore each other's emotional and sensual worlds.
C. St. Sinclair has a great gift for prose which features powerful descriptions of exploding sexual emotions. The sex is intense, and it happens a lot throughout the story. I enjoyed the depth of characters. The Towels: An Erotic and Sometimes Comic Tale of Lust, Discontent, Longing & Love presents the finesse of erotica and readers will enjoy both the sensual intensity of the story, the humor, the exciting characters, and the storyline. What captivated me most was the strong writing; it is as seductive as the subject matter it speaks about.
